To take these photos, I went to the gym with my friend who we named 'CrossFitCorbo' as a play on words. I took a range of photos from all different angles and shots of her both posing and doing a workout. I also filmed clips of the workout to make the audio visual content. After taking photos at the gym, i also took a few long shots of her against a plain wall posing in gym wear with weights and believe these photos would work well on the cover. Some photos I do not think went as well as planned such as the close ups in the mirror and some of the action shots as I don't think they suit the genre of entertainment.

For this shoot, I took photos of my mum and dad at home using portrait mode on my iPhone. I took the photos at home as it had a personal feel, which what the story is all about. I took a range of photos but most were mid shots and I think this worked well. My overall favourite image is the one below, I edited it to blur and soften the background so the focus was still on my models.

For my front cover photo shoot I used my friend to take a range of images, using portrait mode on the iPhone, that were mostly mid shots, long shots and close ups. To take the photos we went to a car park where I knew had a bright coloured wall and a good view where we could take pictures with a good background and then took more in a coffee shop. Overall, I think the shoot was successful as I gathered a range of high quality images that can be used on my magazine and website.  However, I decided that some of my favourite images, such as the close up below, could not be used on the front cover as they had connotations of the fashion genre more than entertainment. I decided that I would use the image below as my front cover image. This is because, my model is centred and looking at the camera while doing an interesting pose, the image is high quality and has an interesting background yet the focus is still directed onto the model. On my real website I will include a range of images which are featured on the front covers and also original new stories as well as adverts. There is logos for social media which the audience can follow and an option to sign in for personal access. The colour scheme of pink and white represents the in-house style of the magazine and makes it recognisable.

After designing my first mock up of contents page and front cover, for my magazine, I decided that I liked the layout,logo, typography etc but did not like the colour scheme I used. Therefore, in this mock up I used a pink in house style and changed the logo to suit this and will be potentially used in my final product.

The text in black would be in white in my real product as amongst all the magazine I analysed black was not requently used. The colours may change howveer the in house style of red and yellow suits the brand well and would appeal to my target audience. Also, the photos from the front cover will also be used on the contents page as a point of reference for the audience.
